About Jemaa el-Fna
Jemaa el-Fna, at the entrance to the medina, has been one of the symbols of Marrakech since the city’s foundation in the eleventh century, UNESCO notes: a triangular square of daily commerce and entertainment where storytellers, musicians and performers gather through the day and well into the night. Its cultural space was proclaimed by UNESCO in 2001 and inscribed in 2008 on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
Opening hours, prices and seasonal openings change, so please check with Jemaa el-Fna before you go.
